This journalist has an ability to draw the reader in from the first sentence and this was particularly evident in the two articles submitted – interviews with Colum McCann and Theo Dorgan. His articles are more than just an interview and the reader gets a real sense of the person’s character. Olaf has been shortlisted on several occasions for this award. He is a worthy winner of the gong in 2013.
